Alley-Oop Africa

The "Alley-Oop Africa" call for projects, initiated by the Senegalese NGO RAES (African Network for Education in Health and Citizenship), in collaboration with Keewu Production, the Basketball Africa League (BAL), and various local associations, concluded on January 17. Supported by the French Development Agency (AFD), this program seeks to advance sports engagement among African youth, with a special emphasis on girls, aligning with the sports policies of different African governments.

In this edition, 98 initiatives were submitted during the application phase, with each initiative eligible for a maximum funding of 12,000 euros. The target countries were Benin, Senegal, and Togo, with Togo leading the submissions at 41, followed by Benin with 33, and Senegal with 24.

Ultimately, 11 project leaders, including the association Ladie's Turn, were selected as winners. These winners received financial grants and training in Alley-Oop Africa's educational tools.
