Ladies' Turn Alumni

Since its inception in 2009, Ladies' Turn has empowered many young girls, who have since emerged as influential leaders in their areas of expertise..

Aida BEYE - U20 National Team Player

Aïda, hailing from Khombole, was recognized as the best player in our "Kickoff for Girls' Leadership in the Thiès Region" program. She became a member of the regional women's team, Les Tigresses de Thiès, to take part in the national championship. Today, while continuing her studies, she has also earned spots on the U17 and U20 national teams, with aspirations of one day joining the senior women’s national team.

Five Champions - Alumni of Ladies' Turn

Through our Premier Skills project, carried out in collaboration with the British Council in 2016, five players from this program have made significant progress in their football careers. These include Khady Faye and Adji Ndiaye (goalkeepers), Binta Seck (defender), and Aminata Samba and Aminata Diop (midfielders). After competing in the U17 and U20 categories, the two goalkeepers are now part of Senegal's senior women’s national team.

My name is Salimata Ndiaye, and I began playing football around the age of seven or eight. At first, I played as a goalkeeper, but only in the streets with the boys. Thanks to Ladies' Turn, I had the chance to compete in my first women’s tournament, where I was named the best player. After being noticed by my city's team, I went on to play internationally, participating in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and the 2023 World Cup qualifiers in New Zealand.
