The non-profit organization Ladies’ Turn is dedicated to promoting women’s football in Senegal. Since neighborhood football fields are often inaccessible to girls, the organization has been organizing women’s football tournaments since 2009. These events aim to inspire local communities to attend matches and support female players. By emphasizing values such as teamwork, responsibility, and individual initiative, women’s football serves as a powerful tool for advocating gender equality and empowering women, showcasing them in a new light—as athletes.
