Seyni Ndir SECK
President of Ladie's Turn
Seyni is the president of the Women’s Football Commission at the Senegalese Football Federation. A former captain of the National Team, she grew up playing football with the boys in her neighborhood in Yoff, never imagining she would one day be part of the national team. As a passionate ambassador for women’s football in Senegal, she is determined to use Ladies' Turn to improve the visibility and conditions of the sport for future generations. She also works at RTS, Senegal's national radio and television network.
Jennifer brings her expertise and dedication to gender equality, honed through her work with the United Nations Development Programme in both New York and Dakar. She has also contributed to the International Center for Research on Women. Having played football during her school and university years in France, Jennifer understands firsthand how women's football can empower women, foster connections, and inspire them to take action.
Gaëlle transformed her passion for sports into a career, becoming a young and prolific sports journalist. Originally from Cameroon, she now resides in Morocco, where she works for UCLG Africa. Dedicated to promoting the representation of women’s sports in the media, she has become an advocate for women's football with Ladies' Turn. She ensures that the association’s activities and tournaments receive coverage from national and community media (newspapers, radio, television). Her efforts significantly contribute to increasing the visibility of women’s football in Senegal.
Bassouaré is the Head of the Training Department at the National Football Technical Directorate, the Technical Director of Generation Foot, and the former coach of the Senegalese Women’s National Team. He is a pioneer of women’s football in Senegal, having founded the first women’s football team in the Saint Louis region, where he lives and teaches. This team, the Lycée Ameth Fall team, became the vice-champion of Senegal in the 2010 National Cup.
