Promouvoir le leadership feminin
The Kick-off Project for Girls' Leadership aims to advance gender equality in Senegal. The objective is to bring together girls, boys, school and sports structures, communities, and local authorities in Thiès to mobilize together and create a sustainable social dynamic in favor of female leadership and girls' rights through football. It also aims to improve the living conditions and fulfillment of young girls in the Thiès region.
To achieve these goals, we organized:
Grassroots and football festivals to improve the physical and technical performance of 300 girls and 100 boys aged between 13 and 18 years.
Training sessions for coaches, supervisors, and members of Ladies' Turn on Adolescent and Youth Reproductive Health (AYRH), children's rights and safeguarding policies, and gender-based violence in schools (GBVS).
Advocacy sessions for the promotion of football and girls' leadership with local and administrative authorities, as well as football clubs for the integration of girls into their activities.
Broadcasting of 6 radio programs hosted by girls on topics of football, female leadership, and the fight against GBVS.
Screenings of the film "Ladies’ Turn" and sessions on GBVS with the cinema bus.
Training sessions for girls and the Ladies' Turn partner on female leadership, and advocacy and awareness techniques.
